About
MyBL Lite is a free mobile application that offers one-stop solution for all mobile communication needs of Banglalink subscribers. Banglalink is one of the leading mobile service operators in Bangladesh. The app offers services such as internet, voice, video, and audio. Besides keeping all the records of daily mobile communications usage, MyBL lite lets you know about all the new and exciting offers from Banglalink.
Problem statement
MyBL lite is particularly designed for the Banglalink subscribers in rural areas in Bangladesh who have limited access to internet and high-end mobile phone devices. This particular subscribers base have comparatively less cognitive ability to navigate the user interface designed for regular urban users. Therefore, there is a need for designing the UI in a way that is user-friendly for the less privileged ones.
Design Methodology
The research started with analysing the tasks or goals that the users need to accomplish by using the app. In addition to that we also looked into the SRS and BRD documents and prepared the list of task features (product backlog). The one to one interviews were arranged with respective stakeholders to clarify system architecture, specific queries and elicit desired requirements.
In the design phase, we used KJ method to develop requirements pattern and categorize them under specific system. we also analysed the use cases and scenarios to inform the situational opportunities and constraints into the design. Based on these, the new user journeys were mapped with the human factor principles in mind. Later, the developed prototypes were tested with the real users and the feedbacks were incorporated in the next version.
